The making of the bees video.
This is the short video that we put together while the busy bees were working. It's funny because two of my own kiddos got a hold of the ipad and "video bombed" it in the end. Kind of like "photo bomb" but with video instead. I think kids these days are just naturally techno smart!

2014 Year of the Horse.
My fourth grade students learned about the Chinese New Year and how it is the year of the horse. We celebrated by doing some ink drawings of none other than, well, a horse. I tried to teach them to be free flowing with their brush strokes. They also demonstrated that they could ink "horse" in Chinese.

Clay Hands.
Kindergarten work with clay to create a hand print ornament for their family. Your hand is only this big for so long you know! They learned about what a slab is as well as the technique of scoring (which is basically scratching their name into clay here).

Monstober.
I had multiple classes do oil pastel monsters while I was out taking care of a family situation. The students loved it as well as the sub I had. Really, how can you not love doodling a monster. Tis the season.
