It's all about perspective.

Fourth grade did a color study where they had to paint a sunset.  We discussed how this color order makes sense.  They showed good use of space as they painted the sun first and then added the other colors in order from there.  We then talked about perspective and how we want to make our composition seem like we are looking up.  We painted ink trees from different angles and diluted the ink to create ghost trees that appear further back.  Fourth grade got it!

Kindergarten Chalk Drawings.

The Kinders got to experience the messiness of chalk!  They blended the chalk to create a snowman and then added details with oil pastels.  Next they cut a triangle out of a rectangle and glued in on where they wanted to (perspective).  In the end we finger painted snow in the background.  Whew!!!
