Lines and space.

Multiple grades did a version of this project this past week.  The idea was to have the students show what they know so far about how lines can interact with space. The lines created balanced space, positive space, negative space and depth. 

HeART art.

 

Here are a few random Heart Art pieces that were created this week in art class.  It is amazing how a teacher can just throw out a word to the class and all of a sudden art happens!  The word this week was "heart" obviously.  Oh and Happy Valentine's Day! 

Winter Cards.

 

I have been teaching this lesson for years.  Second graders used pointillism to paint these cardinals.  most students used their finger points to paint these in.  We also discussed and tied in how cardinals are a part of our Sun Prairie community.  These are wonderful. Go Cards!
