Focal point.

 

Fourth grade learned about focal point and emphasis.  They showed me they knew how to make a certain part of a composition stand out.  Here they emphasized the iris of an eye.  We also, dabbled in design and how this could be a career path.  I like to share possible "Art" jobs they could pursue when they are older.

Monet is Awesome.



Actually Westside is awesome!  Fifth Grade did their own version of Monet's Japanese Bridge.  We discussed Impressionism and focal point.  Several of these can be seen at Beans N' Cream on Main Street.  Well done fifth Grade.
