Mural time.

An artist in residence group came to Westside for a couple of days and helped run a mural project for all the students.  The group is called Dane Arts Mural Arts (DAMA).  They did a fantastic job coming in and teaching the kids about community.  Next year they will help create an even larger permanent mural in the hallway across from the office.  I can't wait......actually I can because I need summer break to go slow:)

More rockets.

One of my second grade classes worked on these oversized rocket paintings for their musical the other day.  They had to work in groups and cooperate and communicate in order to complete this task.  These are out of this world:)
